“Do Saptaah” meaning “2 weeks” in hindu, was a hopeless wishfull thinking; when last time TDOS and Yiannis were together in flesh and blood in feb. 2020 on Koh Chang island when humanity changed. It was supposed to last 2 weeks…
Yiannis has been part and parcel of the Hong Kong underground scene for over a decade and a half. Having made his name playing banging sets of techno and tech house as a resident of Yumla, Midnight & Co. and, currently OMA, Yiannis has also shared the decks in his native Greece with the likes of Sven Vath, Hernan Cattaneo, and Sasha
Wearing his techno producer hat, his releases are found on local techno label Typhoon8records, either in standalone appearances or team efforts with fellow Hong Kong producers.
Along the same tip, on this occassion Yiannis is extremely proud to collaborate with The Dude Of Stratosphear, one of Thailand’s prominent vinyl selectors, performers and producers in this slow burning, deep and escapist slomo release. The inspiration came from shared sounds and sights in T.D.O.S.’s jungle-clad home, Yiannis’ trademark electronic footprint and a common affection for world music.
